Overview of the Natural Beauty Care Industry
This overview is of the natural and
organic personal care Industry, the natural beauty care industry includes
natural care products for the hair, body, teeth, and nails that make an effort
to not include harmful chemical ingredients. This industry has evolved dramatically
over the last 10 years as consumers are becoming more and more health conscious.
Natural products retailer’s sale direct to customers via brick and mortar
physical locations, and through e-commerce platforms.
Natural
Products Expo East is one of the largest industry trade shows, and it features
over 1000 natural, and organic businesses that offer business to business and
business to consumer sales. One of the major companies in the natural beauty
care industry is Aubrey Organics a natural body care company, which boasts some
of the highest standards in the industry for sulfate/paraben/mineral oil-free products
and also happens to be one of my favorite brands.
Specific to
online retailing there are a number of fulfillment centers that will fulfill orders
for businesses, eliminating the need to print invoices, package product and
ship to customers. Shipwire does this by incorporating databases and logistical
tools to receive and ship orders, essentially digital innovation is at the core
of this company. Shipwire is an innovate company that can be easily integrated
with the ecommerce function of certain website like squarespace.com Shipwire
will store inventory, print shipping labels and invoices, and ship direct to
customers. Shipwire has mastered logistics, order fulfillment and supply chain management
making it easy and convenient for business owners to ship their products to
customers.
